- Established in 1869, "Izu Kappa" handcrafts pre-mashed tokoroten (agar jelly) in cups.
The raw materials are a blend of 100% agar-agar from Izu, which is slowly simmered for about 6 hours in spring water from Kakitagawa, which has been selected as one of Japan's 3 best waters. By filtering it three times through cloth, it is finished to have a clear, smooth texture without any unevenness or cloudiness.
It's more premium than typical tokoroten (agar jelly), but it's popular with discerning customers.
We generally do not sell this product in supermarkets.

We offer a wide variety of sauces, from refreshing options like soy sauce and vinegar, sesame sauce, and wasabi dressing, to sweet options like brown sugar syrup and yuzu syrup, so you can enjoy them without getting bored.
