- Fujisei Pan's Yokan Pan is a one-of-a-kind bread that won third place in a visitor popularity poll at the first National Local Bread Festival, out of a selection of famous and unknown local breads from around the country. Sixty years have passed since its release in the mid-Showa era, and its catchy appearance, made with three Japanese and Western sweets (mashed bean paste, smooth bean paste, and vanilla cream), is still handmade by artisans who have continued to pursue a product that is both pleasing to the eye and to the palate. While using the three sweets, attention has been paid to the fine details, such as the compatibility with the bread dough, the thickness of the smooth yokan, and the amount of cream squeezed into the hole in the center, resulting in a delicious bread that is popular with bean paste lovers all over the country.
